1) Placed order on Thursday. Expected delivery was Saturday.
2) Got a message Friday morning saying it was out for delivery and should be delivered by 2PM. Great. 3) 2PM, package was not delivered. It is now expected by 9PM. Still great. 4) 9PM, package was not delivered. Package was "damaged in transit," considered undeliverable, and is now being returned to the seller. Refund will be issued. OK. 5) Got a message this morning that it's out for delivery. ??? I checked online and it still says it's undeliverable. 6) I called Amazon and they requested a refund. OK. 7) 4K monitor shows up at my door a few minutes ago 8) Just got a message saying they refunded the purchase. What happened here --- ... Copied to Clipboard!

So basically it was expected to be delivered on Saturday. You called when they didn't deliver it Friday and it got delivered on expected day of Saturday? I'd just call Amazon and tell them what happened. Better safe than sorry.

It's possible the actual package just took a bump or something and the delivery person phoned it in but a different person didn't know and tried to deliver it today
There could just be a miscommunication. If it is damaged and you do open it they might wonder what the fuck you were doing. Because they refunded it, I would immediately contact support, don't open it and explain the situation. --- I just want to be loved ... Copied to Clipboard!

Nah, they won't care. Seriously. If you call them, they will just tell you to keep the monitor. My aunt who is disabled got like a 300 dollar digi-piano delivered to her, apparently the wrong neighborhood. She called up amazon to say they delivered her someone's e-piano and its too heavy for her to put it in her car and give it to the neighbor herself and asked if someone can come get it they said just keep the piano, they will resend a new piano to the rightful owner.
Also a few years back my buddy worked for amazon hq security/loss investigations (fraud, counterfeit sellers- if he still worked for them he'd be the one hunting down all the price gougers). He once confiscated thousands of dollars in electronics which I won't name and asked if I needed any. I was confused, don't remember all the details but it was already declared a write off so the merchandise was considered lost already or something. I forgot what he said in detail. Anyway, he had no idea what to do with it all so either he gives it away or donates it or e-cycles it. Things like this makes you wonder how they make money at times. --- Then: Arguing with the religious using facts and logic "I have faith" Now: Arguing with liberals using facts and logic "I have my feeling" ... Yeah you got a free 4k monitor. Unless they have a price threshold where they'll turn around and charge you for it, they'll likely say congrats when you tell them about it.
