That's not true. In fact, why I watch these is not only because you get a good picture on what's happening in the USA (so you know what kinds of things you can expect in Canada) but you also get a better global perspective of the virus. Better data, better information, better science behind the virus and trends you can expect etc.

You watch the Trudeau conference and what do you get - basically words with no content because he says things to remain completely inoffensive to everyone and ends up saying nothing.

I don't know why that's funny. Almost every conference he brings up one or two of the doctors and they explain what's going on in detail with the virus worldwide and other countries and future projections. In Canada we don't get any of that - we just get empty words.

Well it's a good thing I didn't take your model seriously that expected a mid-July peaking of cases in places like the USA and Canada. I know you've changed your tune since they've revised the models down. I don't entirely blame you - we had models saying 80,000 cases in Ontario by the end of April released early April - we're headed to be about 15,000 or so cases or maybe even less. Some humbleness would go a long way with you though.

Sure - people are interpreting it that way because anything less than blaming Trump as the sole reason the coronavirus spread is seen as being some sort of irrational Trump worshiper. I'm getting laughed at because I tune into his conference so I can actually get some data on the virus because we don't get any of it here in Canada.

You can argue Trump isn't the whole issue but hes 100% most of the problem at the very least. Trumps the one who ignored the issue for 6 weeks and let it get out of control, and Trump is the one pushing to open the world up too fast.

If you're Canadian, you should know how much Trump has screwed up, by way of how well the Canadian government is handling things.

Not really man the Canadian government did even less (didn't close the border to China/Europe) then locked down at the same time as the USA. It caught them both off guard at the same time it was just due to luck factors it didn't balloon here as bad also having only 10% of USA population as well.

USA has more cases than China now. Trump isn't handling it well. Also Canada has 1/10 the population of the US, but the US has more than 20x the cases.

Like Canada is still at risk because USA is screwing up, not because of anything else.

We had people here back in January that went from Wuhan>Some other area in China>Toronto and came back with Coronavirus, we just said "please stay home" and these people took the subway and other shit, along with people infected from Iran back when Iran was an early outbreak of the virus
2. Encouraged people to travel and "go have fun" on March break
3. Week after March break when we finally closed stuff down, we repatriated a metric shit ton of infected people from all over the world with absolutely 0 controls at the airports or borders to enforce social distancing etc

So we're in shit now because of this. The USA will reopen before us.
