Finally something to break up the string of bad games. One of the best things Ive played. Especially with the enhanced PS4 graphics on a big screen TV, it was gorgeous.

I bought this game four times but this was my first time playing more than a quarter of the way through...which is where I have a bad habit of stopping games >_<

Never played Last Guardian but I heard it wasn't good. Ico is great, play it.

imho it goes SotC > TLG > Ico. All are great in their own way.

Ico has you leading a blind girl around and solving puzzles. There's some combat but nothing challenging. People complain about the blind girl being finnicky but I understand it to be intentional. A blind girl shouldn't be able to move on rails and do everything exactly as you want her to. I get that it can be frustrating for some but for me it increases the immersion.

The Last Guardian has you teaming up with this giant dog dragon bird beast. Again, it can be finicky and not respond to commands, but it's a wild creature. As with Ico I can see how that could be irksome but for me it's immersive. There's some gorgeous moments in that game. One in particular is one of my favorite moments in any game ever. Won't spoil it though.

TLG most likely lost money, and I believe the game was already over budget, with all the delays.

Ico is really good, but The Last Guardian is pretty bad from what little I played. I also don't particularly enjoy SotC either though.

From what little I've played of last guardian, it's fucking horrendous. Your dog is unresponsive as fuck. The excuse people give me is he's suppose to be like a real animal so I should just sit there and wait.

Throughout the course of the game if you feed and pet and interact with the beast it becomes more responsive.

Never played TLG, but Ico is terrible.

I tried to get into SotC in February when it was one of the free PlayStation+ games and thought it was so incredibly boring. I think I killed like 8 of the monsters before giving up.

I played TLG VR and thought it was neat. I suppose that was due to the VR though. SotC was fun enough but I never bothered with ICO or TLG none VR.

Ico, yes.

TLG; not as much. There's issues with the AI and some other problems that drag the game down. It's still really good, but just short of a masterpiece.

Ico was a gem in my opinion. The game "Journey" reminds me of Ico in some ways.
