My most recent addition, Marcie, is ehh, but I've never had a kangaroo before so I figured why not?

It's possible his shop will be absorbed into Nook's in one of the future upgrades, like it was in New Leaf. It might not be a bad idea to buy from him every time just in case they make spending bells at his shop a pre-requisite for a Nook upgrade.

I bought like 400 bushes from him because I wanted to use them like fencing, and then afterwards I completed the Nook Mile achievement for the bush fencing...

Does anyone have a code for a Tips sign to put on a signpost? I think I remember someone's town here having one of those. Could use it to give the AC board folks a spot to place tips if I'm away. Googling Animal Crossing tips sign gives me "tips" and advice and that's definitely not what I want!

Hmmm people were being stingy tonight! Ah well. Only got 1 99k bell tip, but to be fair I was wandering around when people started showing up nonstop and I said I'd be in the beach to the left of the airport. This is why I need a tips sign. Since I always make tipping optional because that's the way it should be, it'd be nice to not have to stand in one place to help the people who are going to tip find me. Plus, I could just leave my game on (seriously hosting for randos is so unbelievably cumbersome thanks to Nintendo's insane, archaic online) and give people the benefit of the doubt that they won't steal.

But lowkey, this is pretty much the kindest, most honest online community I've ever been a part of in a game before. Multiple times I've dropped tips for other people in front of the wrong person and they've never stolen it. And vice versa, I've had tips piling up at my island because I stopped paying attention and they've always been sitting there. Would be so easy to steal in both instances but people in the AC community are just the best.

Still have work to do, but very happy with how the island is coming. Still have a bit of a flower nightmare pile, but the actual garden park is set up. Other than a lot of pathing changes and my villager's personalized outdoor items I haven't started yet, and I obviously extensive bridge and incline construction, I am fairly content.

Also just caught the Tuna, so I am set for April bugs and fish.

I'm about now @ninkendo. Otherwise, uh, I'll try and catch you tonight.

Ok so I have a few questions. Some Animal Crossing related, some not but all linked into owning a second switch since to play Animal Crossing with the missus, I have to get a second one and apparently Switch Lites are now in stock again

1. Are saves easily transferrable between switches? So like I already own a normal Switch but if I got a Switch Lite, would I be able to move stuff over to the normal Switch to play it on the TV? I know that this presumably wouldn't work with Animal Crossing since the island is tied to the console not the profile?
2. I am clueless on Animal Crossing myself but the missus says I should get an 'Australia / Southern Hemisphere' island if I can. Is there a way to trick the island into this? Since presumably by default it will generate me a similar island to hers if I just do the default.
3. Am I right in thinking a Switch Lite is the way to go if there's already a normal Switch in the house? Is there any huge dealbreakers for the Switch Lite (I know it can't go on the TV and the joycons aren't detachable so some games presumably don't work).
4. Are there any other games that would benefit from owning 2 Switches to play with someone else in the same house?
