23 and still at home with my unstable maniac father. Hes either a manic little shit or a volatile lunatic, and the only in between is him being a generally obnoxious, rude, abrasive, and inconvenient man. My sister and I are both at the end of our rope, but she has a s/o a few states away that shell be moving in with eventually. Im stuck with little savings and currently no employment, and my social circle evaporated over the past couple years due to my terrible relationship so finding roommates will be a motherfucker.

I am not doing well I am in a bad living situation and feel like Im regressing to being a fucking teenager, and have pretty much infinite time to just sit and be with my thoughts and think about shit I never want to think about again

My advice is focus on your post-secondary or career for the time being.

Your dad may act like a dick to you but it's his house and he may just resent that you're being a freeloader in his eyes. Try pitching in with bills or the mortgage and he may change his tune.

It's better than what you were dealing with previously, but I had no idea you had moved in with your dad. I thought you got your own place when you bailed out on your last awful situation.

Just stick it out and things will improve. If you can figure out ANY way to get on unemployment right now, they are giving an additional $600 weekly to virtually everyone on the program. You can be getting $700+ a week if you qualify and that's plenty to get your own place with and work toward getting back on your feet.

Do. Not. Go. Back. Be strong bro.

On unemployment, currently building some savings with that, but finding reliable income beyond that will not be easy. Ive lived with my dad for a couple years now, having left my moms as the house started to pile up into a borderline hoarder mess. For a number if months I barely lived here, because things got to that point where I was basically trapped at their apartment most of the time, but now Im here all day every day with no fucking job and just thinking about how deeply poisoned my life is.

Find some guys and get a cheap place together, everyone tosses in and things can get better. Typical answer would be find a job but that's impossible now unless you risk a potentially fatal virus and harming your family, even if places are hiring.
