And he's so scared. I tell him it's probably carpal tunnel from all the games he's been playing, that he'll probably be fine if he lets it rest.

He's been playing Tekken and I can see his Steam activity.

wtf no stop your hand is going to break and then there will be no Tekken

His fault for playing a fighting game with mouse and keyboard.

mouse and keyboard

It's possible to just circumvent this problem by buying a PS2 controller to USB adaptor and then being done with it, I should think; assuming he has a working PS2 controller and a USB port on his personal computer, of course.

I tried the stranger and you can't even get a good grip once your hand passes out and by the time the blood gets back your hand is all tingly and it distracts from the situation at hand anyway. 0/10. would not recommend.

Who plays fighters with keyboard+mouse?

PC's are super easy to use nearly any modern controller on these days.

Yeah, he says he had a stroke, so I guess that doesn't really matter. :/ This poor guy is the unluckiest sob I've ever met.

Also I assume he uses a controller.

Thankfully, (though he's not into talking about how thankful he should be) it was his left hand, and his fingers all still work fine. His wrist only goes down though. He just about cries every time he tries to put a glove on at work because he can barely do it.

It didn't even occur to me as an option until yesterday.

Wireless connection can be quite troublesome. Luckily wired controllers are still a thing, just plug'n'play.

Even with the wireless ones you can use cords to plug them in to the computer, I plug in my PS4 controller to my PC all the time and most titles recognize it.
