Yes. When I was a child. I was born in 81 so I had plenty of time to look towards 2000. It ended up being disappointing. Not as cool as I thought it would be

That guy is either lying or he's very rare. Most people on here are in their mid 20s at least. Don't worry, man. There aren't too many kids on gamefaqs these days

The only thing I really remember about the new millennium is my elementary school having some kind of celebration. I didn't even know what the word "millennium" meant (was 6).

People (except Ray Bradbury) are hilariously bad at predicting future technological advances. No authors thought we'd have the LHC or LIGO because they aren't sexy enough, but hover boards and holographic communicators aren't practical enough for them to have been developed.

Probably the most amazing thing about modern technology is that so many people have a handheld computer that's literally magnitudes more powerful than the state of the art in the 70s. It must have been so hard to imagine the technology being miniaturized.

I mean like flying cars or teleport machines.

I mean reading a persons DNA and recording it down and sending it to somewhere else and making the person reappear is insane.

Also imagine all the ground chaos and destruction flying cars would cause.

You wouldnt reappear though. The original version of you would die and the one who pops out on the other side would just be a copy
