I've always handled a flu much better than my wife handles a simple runny nose, so we never "got" the term "man flu" when her friends would use it in a particular context. This is the first time I've heard the term used outside of a few close friends. Guess we're an exception and not the norm. Then again my family has always been against the grain. Growing up my dad always did most of the house cleaning. My mom would come home from work, throw her coat on the floor and my dad would be like "ugh your mother never cleans up after herself."
