The answer to both questions is no, so there is no reason to hold them up as evidence of something.

Because hes an asshat. Dude was literally trying to cut funding to the states TOPS program, which provides much needed tuition assistance to the states college students. He was also going after state college funding. Edwards also tried to raise taxes, which wouldve ran many businesses out of Louisiana. So yeah...hes trying to tank the state.

I wouldn't put too much faith in what your county has, especially since you live in a state with a hot area.

That's my county. I spiked a 101.4 fever and couldn't get a test and never knew why. All of our tests went to New York City, and once that got under control we finally got tests. Look at that spike, thankfully for us it's not a lot of infections, but my point is unless you are testing on large scales you just don't know. Even now this was a one time spike in testing, we haven't tested at that level since. Check your states health department's website to see how many tests your county do per day. You can't have an accurate opinion without that.

In a few weeks it's gonna be "We need to wait a few more weeks." Then after that, a few more weeks. They'll keep moving the goal posts because it'll be tolerated better than saying from day one "You guys can't leave your house for 18 months while we work on a vaccine that will be mandatory for society to return to normal." Because that's what it really is. We've had two week quarantine/incubation period, four week "flatten the curve," and now that most places have accomplished that it's a few month "wait and see?" This shit isn't going away.
