i know absolutely nobody who has caught it personally, except one cousin, who actually died from it, ok?

unfortunately, you would have better chance of catching it than winning the lottery, though, ok?

i'm not saying we're overreacting, or not doing the right thing, i'm not really leaning either way. all i'm saying is i was surprised to read how low those numbers were. i mean, i remember news reports saying we'd be lucky if we got out of this with 1/3rd of the world population infected and 1% of the population dead. i know it's far from over, but it really looks like we're not even getting close to those numbers, ok?

Officially, thats only whats reported. The numbers could easily be much higher if everybody in this country was tested.

with the known symptoms and the fact that its happening during flu season, is enough to get everybody reasonable doubt that theyre sick with it until its too late.

this is very true, plus there's the fact that china is 100% lying about their numbers, ok?

We don't and probably will never know the actual infected number because we have to test every single american for that, there are supposedly a lot more people who have it and went undiagnosed or are asymptomatic, which is a good thing because it means chinese flus death rate is lower than what we currently think.

I work at a hospital so statements like these dont sit right with me. Ive seen more people die in the last couple months alone than I have in the last year.
And I work with a lot of geriatric end of life patients.

well obviously if you work at a hospital it's going to be a completely different POV. i'm not saying i speak for everyone, i'm just giving my own viewpoint, ok?

Its a small percentage but a huge number that is completely overrunning some hospitals

anyone that really thinks we should just up and end the stay at home measures should do their part and volunteer to help out at their local healthcare centers
