I am mind blown at how poorly theyve been doing. But when I went into them it was because I wanted to play the long game and not gamble with meme stocks. Ironically that has gone terribly bad for me so far. I also could have benefitted from diversifying the financial sector more but I really am confident theyll bounce back at some point.

yea that rationale is sound. I personally had my mom sell her stock in WFC at around 38 a little bit before the huge crash though... I'm not sure myself on the banks. Maybe consider more portfolio diversification? I think you need some tech/meme-y/momentum stock exposure.

I guess technically I'm up 12% today if I count my etrade account but I usually just discuss my robinhood account here.

It's interesting working for a publicly traded company and watching how the stock price compares to the internal health of the organization over time.

Neon I am considering my NCLH exit strategy. How should I get out? I don't trust this stock so I intend on selling at the top of this run and investing into something safer with bigger upsides.

Id value it around 20 in a year if things go well. Im sure there will be higher highs and I know 20 is a bit optimistic. Ill probably hang on until 16 or so and then get out. I just worry about any more ships that are full of Covid patients and cant dock anywhere - I feel like I dont want to be in NCLH when they start business again.

The powers that be are adamant against any optimism. Even with virus numbers decreasing, all they will focus on are the repercussions of reopening too soon and the high amount of businesses that will never recover. It has become a political tool and will delay the stock markets growth by at least 10%.

Damn, I thought about buying Carnival stock when it was around 11 a few days ago but didn't pull the trigger. What do you all think about buying at 14.72? I may hold off and wait for another downtick though that would hopefully happen. In general, I'm assuming this is like bank stocks in that it's going to be a long time until the real payoff manifests.

I would get in the casino stocks. Theyre starting to reopen this and next month. ERI, for example, had three of its casinos open today and while everything was green, it went up the most (20%) out of our our watchlist stocks.

Edit: okay, Spirit went up 28% but the airlines are less safe than the casinos in the short/mid term.

I put mine in WYNN a few weeks ago, which was promptly followed by the markets second dip. You might want to hold off a few days since today was a massive gain day. ERI is good too but since a few of theirs already opened, Id reckon their short/midterm gains will be less compared to WYNNs. EVRI (different from ERI) is more volatile but probably another good one.

Only if you actually take the money yourself, you can pull your 401k out of stocks and just have the money sit there if you think the stock market is going to tank.

Penalty is waved by the cares act if at all pulled for covid-19 reasons and you can smooth the tax by spreading it out over 3 years if you wish to for tax purposes.

Wow! Just after Nasdaq said they wanted to delist them. At some point in the middle of the halt I was already mentally writing my shares off as a 100% loss so opening at all is a gain from that point of view.

But, I think it may rise a lot from $4.39. The short interest is like 45% of the float, and they've fired the CEO and they've been opening stores at a breakneck pace in China even after the fraud announcement. Let's go!

TVIX might be the worst investment instrument ever. If you bought $13 million worth of TVIX at its peak in September 2011, you'd have $1 now.
