I played it for free, but it was on my PS4 I think, and I was bored.

But I have heard from others that they actually think the gameplay is better than BL2 which waa my favorite story and gameplay so far.

So has anyone actually played it a bunch and what did you think about it after say 10 hours or so? The first few hours were
dull, seriously, but I guess it's supposed to get better?

Should I snag it at 50% off?

The story is bad. Core gameplay has some great additions compared to the previous games but their attempt at end game content just got overhauled and isn't in a good state right now. It's worth getting if you're just interested in playing through the campaign and may have more longevity after additional patches, but if you're looking for something you can invest a lot of time into I'd pass for now.

Also worth noting that (on pc at least) it has performance issues that have been around since launch and continue to persist. Nothing game breaking, but it runs way worse than it should on many setups.

Ahh thanks, the performance issues are gonna be the deciding factor for me, didn't even like it on ps4 without any.

And if the end game is bad, and I found the first 2 hours so bored I had a free weekend and only played 2 hours, I 'm guessing it's not worth it even at 50% off.

Maybe it'll be 75% off sometime in the future lol.

Nah, the new Mayhem mode is great, and gives a reason to dive back into the game. The amount of DLC, free and paid, churning out at regular intervals has been impressive as well.
