Dailymail has revealed that Criminal Pastor, Tony Spell has gotten 205 people to donate part of their STIMULUS CHEQUES to HIS church after he urged parishioners to join the #PastorSpellStimulusChallenge!!

He is still ignoring HOUSE ARREST orders and defied lockdown guidelines to host packed services in Louisiana

The Controversial Pastor of Life Tabernacle Church introduced this challenge on April 19th and told TMZ that donations came from both his people and outsiders who felt "compelled" by "god" to help his church

He said the money would go to missionaries and evangelists and said Rule #2 "Donate your stimulus money. Rule #3 donate it to evangelists, north american evangelists who havent had an offering in a month. Missionaries who haven't had an offering in a month. Music ministers who haven't had an offering in a month"

He also claims he and his wife donated their own and that viewers who don't belong to a church can go to his website to donate to others

He defended his actions stating non profits and faith based programs can apply for Paycheque Protection but that "we don't want to" as CNN's Victor Blackwell said "But that is your choice" as the anchor pointed out many members of his congregation have trouble getting transport to his church and said why not give that money to them and why isn't it a time for the church to give those in need?

Spell said "This is a challenge. We are challenging you, if you can, to give your stimulus package to evanegalists and missionaries who don't get the package. We do not want SBA loans. We don't want the government to give us a dime. We are happy to provide for ourselves"

He has consistently flouted social distancing guidelines to host sunday churches and got in trouble with the law when he almost RAN OVER a protester and was charged with assault.

He said the only thing he is guilty of is practicing his faith and as he walked out of prison, his fans PRAISED HIM.

I have an unpopular opinion surrounding these types of "pastors".

While they're undeniably greedy lying sacks of shit, if people are braindead enough to give their money to him, all the power to him. I don't get worked up about hearing about stuff like this, because I generally have a hard time sympathizing with stupid people.

I mean if they want to donate money to missionaries, thats their choice. Missionaries literally give their whole life up to practice their religion and dont even get to live at home a lot since they are out in third world countries a lot.

But its stupid to still hold church when you could be spreading covid.

Overall I would say I have a positive outlook on Christianity, but fuck guys like these, it was the corruption of the church that made me not want to be Christian anymore

I think they have a lot of good stories with good morals, but they should be taken as a lesson about life not historical fact, but even then there is still fucked up stuff in the bible that no omniscient, omnipresent and omnibenevelent god would actually do and was clearly just making god believe what they did was right

Science doesn't disprove God, it just disproves your narrow perception of god

You don't see an issue with people getting power through an immoral resource? Nobody cares that idiots lost their money, the issue is scum getting stuff that's off limits.
