He wrote a terrible plot and had lesbians in it because he knew a screed of loser neckbeards would zero in on the mild progressive elements in the story, whining about things that don't matter, allowing him to cast all criticism of his terrible plot as bigotry since some bigots are having a serious meltdown and can't help show their hatred for women/gay people.

In one fell swoop he destroyed a franchise with a gimmick plot while escaping real criticism since it's largely been drowned out by people crying about "muh SJWs".

Mary Sue who is perfect at everything and the best basically going in and killing a beloved character and shitting on the others.

From what I read of the leaks, it just seems like TLOU didn't need a sequel. It doesn't seem bad but it doesn't seem necessary at all.

bullshit response. raiden's motivation was whatever the voice in his head said it was, and he was a new character so any motivation could have been written for him...

There are people legit coming out in droves to claim that what he did at the end wasn't bad "from a certain point of view." Just the other day, somebody called the TLoU a story about "finding something worth fighting for," which is a huge half truth, and the sequel is shitting all over that by "punishing" Joel.

Is this another case of the fans not understanding what the thing they're a fan of is about? I'm getting major vibes. I won't play the game or its predcessor because I think it looks ugly and boring and the gameplay doesn't sound fun so I don't care, but drifting into these arguments (which is really just, like, the hatred version of a circlejerk) to listen, I get the vibes.

Even with leaks, we don't really know enough about the overall plot to call it terrible.

Even then, there were loads of people saying a sequel was unnecessary bc the first one told the 2 character's complete story. So now a sequel is telling another character's story and now people are mad it doesn't focus on Ellie again.

Like, when has Naughty Dog ever released a bad game? It's gonna be lit.
