Most of them bury the active cases. I'm on the NY Health website and it says my county has 374 cases, and that's kind of scary. I mean the number is small considering we have 230k people in the county, so it's not that bad, but to know there are hundreds of cases near me is a little nerve wracking considering I live with high risk people. But just now I was reading a local news report, and they said of those 374, only 77 are active cases. That's a lot more digestible all things considered. Ever since I saw that, I've noticed that pretty much every tracker nationwide seems to only focus on overall cases with no real option of looking at just the active cases. John Hopkins and the CDC's website are the two main trackers people use, and I can't seem to find an option to look at just the active case numbers. Some have the number of recovered and obviously a simple subtraction is all that's needed to figure out active cases, I just wish they were more front and center. It makes things a little less scary when I think about NY opening up in a week, I think that kind of information should be more available.

Drunk thought of the night. Goodnight CE.

Active cases are harder to keep track of. If someone is discharged from a hospital are they no longer an active case? If someone was never hospitalized to begin with when do they become an inactive case?

I'm guessing you're in Saratoga?

This has active cases down to the state level, but I suppose you're looking for county level.

I now know one person who has passed, and no of another, just in Saratoga County.
And if Wundermaps numbers are to be believed, that is 2/13. or about 15%.

People are still out and about. Town has 70,000 people so roughly 1/70 has it.

Western Mass. I noticed there numbers were kinds high considering how relatively rural they are.
