Topic: In the next 50 years, how far do you think mankind will travel from Earth?

Let's be honest, people, if we're so scared of a virus that we'll forget everything we learned about the immune system & that humans survived for THOUSANDS of years without a conscious knowledge about "herd immunity" or access to artificial vaccines, cloister ourselves up in our homes, and let our governments gleefully take away our rights in the name of "if it save only ONE life," we're never going to get further than the moon ever again.

Unless we're faced with eminent extinction in the next 50 years, and we think moving to the moon or Mars will somehow improve our likelihood of survival, I think we're going nowhere fast.

Humans thought they have control over everything on Earth with their technology but they're helpless against a virus which can't even be seen by the human eye.

They survived, sure. A whole lot of them were still killed by diseases, though, and it's the development of improved medical technologies that has allowed cities to form (you try building a city without a sewage system and see how long it takes for feces-borne diseases to kill everyone) and for our current lifestyle to emerge. If you want to go back to a time when every single person on the planet could name a couple friends they lost to any given disease, that's your prerogative, but I'd personally prefer that you isolate you and everyone you know in a concrete bunker while you carry out that experiment so the rest of us don't have to worry about you.

Too many problems to deal with here on Earth to be reaching for the stars any time in the foreseeable future.
