Witcher 3 comes to mind immediately. Just about everything it does works and even today it casts a big shadow on games that came after it. I hear another Witcher game is coming a few years down the road -- presumably after Cyberpunk stuff cools down -- and I can't wait. Gonna sit white-knuckled until then starting...now!

On a different note, I've been playing Kingdom Come Deliverance since December, so while it's not really TW3-tier enjoyment, I've definitely gotten my money's worth. Definitely a good pickup for people wanting a fun, open-world RPG for a $20-25 price (maybe even lower on PC).

Why is it that he can hit a 3rd baseman on a frozen rope from 300 feet away, but he can't hit a 12 foot tall catcher from 60 feet 6 inches away?

I'm assuming remasters and compilations don't count, otherwise you gotta include stuff like MGS: Legacy Collection, Halo MCC, Rare Replay, Kingdom Hearts Story So Far.

It might be an open world good game to some (the combat lost me) but it's not a good open world game. It would be almkst exactly the same if it was just towns with segments in-between them. There is no reason to go explore or venture into the open world. Which sucks, cause it looks like a beautiful game at times. But there's nothing calling you to explore.

I thought Fallout 4 was well worth it, but that's not for everybody I've noticed.

Sekiro got GOTY so I know that goes without saying.

San Andreas was definitely worth full price in it's day. As well as RE4.
