it makes 0 sense yall

watch a video at regular 1x speed, 60 mins
watch a video at 2x speed, 30 mins
therefore, if you watch a video at 1.5x (halfway between 1x and 2x), it should take 45 mins (halfway between 60 and 30)

i just proved math wrong

Because 60 / 1.5 = 40. If it was 45 minutes, your original video time would be 67m30s
