I don't understand this at all. Street Fighter 3 came out more than 5 years after the original Street Fighter 2. Somehow, though, the graphics are substantially more pixellated, and the excellent floor scrolling effect used in Street Fighter 2 is completely absent. It's like Capcom went out of their way to make the graphics suck. Why would a company do this?

You mean just the background? Cuz the characters are certainly more detailed

It was probably just a art decision

Man, SF3 has quite possibly my favorite visuals and art direction in any game ever. That game is pure eye candy to me. Im so glad Capcom didnt make it a 3D fighter.
