I can sympathize with the shutdown, however, it will sure suck ass when this is all over to come back to everything being closed that I once enjoyed doing. My state and our federal government are useless.

But yeah people are scared. Sure. Yeah, this logic is asinine (in the tweet, not yours). Even if business is down 50%, that's 50% more business than you had sitting at home doing fuck all for months at a time. Also, when people realize that you don't have to step over millions of bodies in the streets to get to your local dining establishment, they'll quickly follow suit. --- "We know things can move faster than the speed of light because liberal tears are on the ground before something offensive even happens" - Coffeebeanz ... I get it sucks, but for you, this is a rude awakening to the new normal. There aren't really going to be gyms, theaters etc to go to in the new normal. I'd start getting more acquainted with the inside of your home if you know what's good for you.

But is that 50% enough to pay for your employees' wages? Ingredients for the food? Water and electricity? restaurants in Georgia are literally packed full and booked up for weeks but OK. A restaurant in Colorado opened its doors for Mother's Day brunch and had it's highest turnout EVER. But yeah people are scared. Sure. Are all businesses open and operating normally though? Select locations being booked because they're open at this specific time while others aren't doesn't represent what will happen to business as a result if the virus spreads and many more get sick and other businesses stay closed. We'd also need numbers to know how many opened back up, otherwise these few crowded businesses are getting all of the business that wants to go out but that'd only matter if it's put in perspective to previous business totals. Otherwise it's just showing people that have been waiting to go out all at once to these specific locations and possibly other businesses that are all closed going to these locations because they're the only ones open. I'm not saying that isn't representative of something, but it doesn't really show the whole picture. To put it more simply, if 100 businesses closed due to the virus and 10 places opened back up before everyone else, all the people from those 100 businesses that wanted to go out would be funneled into those 10 businesses that are open. That would make the open places look very busy but might only represent 10% of normal business in that industry. It would all depend on the capacity of the businesses that are open and the total business they're doing versus what all businesses in that industry were doing shortly before the pandemic. --- If you don't want to argue about something, take the initiative and stfu.
