Closest is that my dad got tested by claiming to have a fever so he could get a week off work lol. Other than that luckily everyone I know has been safe so far

Aunt and Uncle had it in Long Island. My uncle was pretty sick for while but hes a lot better now and my aunt was asymptomatic despite having stage 3 lung cancer

my best friend and his mom/siblings had it. he's a firefighter tho and got it really early on. they all recovered

some of my extended family had it. the close ones all recovered. I know some people died since these few months started but idk if they were from covid

ny gf's dad had it and died. he's the only person I know for sure died of it

Yes. One of my uncles got the virus because he wouldn't listen. He wanted to constantly go out.

My mom had it. She was sick for a few days, but got over it.

three friends, all young, all ok at this point (2 recovered, 1 doing fine)

My cousin's in-laws had a death in the family and one still dealing with it.

No family, friends, or coworkers have been affected by this.

One of my coworkers died from it in March.

She also got terrible sores on her hands and had to wrap them up.

One of my coworkers had a confirmed case. They've remained secretive about it WHICH co-worker, and gave them 3 weeks off. I could probably find out which one if I made it a priority of mine, but it's none of my business so I dont.

Yep. A few.

No one I know personally but we had a scare at work in my deli. We thought the one old lady had it but she was just having asthma problems. If she had it we all would have had to quarantine for 14 days.

Then the other girl's mom had it so she wasn't in the deli for 2wk. A friend of mines niece had it and his grandmother died of it tho.

Two people I know from AA got it, one is in his 50's and the other is in his 70's. They both recovered but the 50 year old lost like 20 lbs and the 70 year old bout died

I live in NYC

Several of my co-workers had it.
My work was incredibly slow at adapting to this crisis.
I work at an inpatient rehab facility, and we've had several confirmed cases.

Down here in SC where we closed the state for like 3 days a couple weeks ago.

Two of my partner's friends have had it, one been admitted to hospital at one point. Both recovering but having breathing issues still over a month later.

One of my friends from high school had it. He's doing OK now, though.

Thought I had it, but never tested. Had the symptoms, but it passed quickly.

A guy I game with online did get it, back in March. He self-quarantined and came out of it safely after a few weeks.

My wife knows several people through her work that have caught it.

At my job one of the corporate bosses had it. We also take care of patients who have it. 1 patient has been sick for a month with it because she's got pneumonia too.

Yes someone I know lost a parent and a relative on the same day. My step mom and family friend has it too

They'll go for a walk for half an hour then need to rest for hours to recover.

A few church members and a cousin tested positive early on before the lockdown. One or two of the members passed, but everyone else is doing better.

My dad's best friend (and close friend to the rest of us in the family; he eulogized both my grandparents) spent two weeks on a ventilator and nearly died from it. Last I heard he's recovering steadily, thank God.

The silver lining here was that it compelled my parents to start taking the pandemic very seriously; thankfully they were already taking it semi-seriously, but this really helped wake them up to the reality of the situation. The sad truth is that most people in this country won't truly take the pandemic seriously until they themselves catch it, or a loved one dies / nearly dies from it.

Nope. Nobody at work has got it either.

two my uncles claimed to have gotten it both live 40miles apart.

they didnt go to hospital because they believed that the doctors would leave them isolated and not cared for.

they used some sort of alchemical combo of turmeric drink to boost their immune system and claim it works.

theyre telling everyone they had it and used alchemy to beat this coronavirus.

smh when i heard them speak without facemasks. my aunt yelled at them for being infected and not wearing facemasks. she went on to tell them she cant get sick for her family. if she gets sick, shes going to goto their house and kill them herself.

this lockdown scared my relatives to do the unthinkable.

Friends dad had it a few weeks back. Fully recovered. Lucky too...hes very high risk.

Someone I've known since first grade and graduated high school with died from it last month. We were never close close, but it's still shocking to know he's gone.
