My mom had a NES and we'd play Mario together. That's how I found my love of VGs. She doesn't much care for them anymore but nonetheless in my childhood we'd play VGs together

When I was like 5, we would play Puzzle Bobble. I was terrible at it so she would aim the bubbles and I'd press the button. She's also still obsessed with Pokemon Go, but I'd play that with her when I was still playing it.

My mom was not at all into them but when I was a teenager I was a walking mass of complexes so when we ended up at the orthodontist's office waiting room and they had a Dreamcast set up, I guess she figured it could be a bonding thing, or rather a "DevsBro is scaring me even more than usual today, gotta lighten him up" thing.

She'd play Monopoly for the Sega Genesis when we'd rent it and Chef's Love Shack for the PS1. With that one, she was awful at the minigames, but was good at the trivia, so it was pretty balanced when she'd play against us.

No. My old man and I did though. Lots of Mario Bros, Double Dragon 2, Skate or Die, Burger Time and Excitebike. Those were the only ones he ever wanted to play.

My mom was really into Atari and then the NES. Some of my happiest memories are beating SMB2 together. She is ace at thr slot machine.

She still plays games at age 65. I consider her finishing Super Mario Sunshine her best modern game accomplishment.

When I was 3 years old, my dad brought home a Sega Genesis. My brother and I played the handful of games he got with it, like Sonic, Super Hang-On, Golden Axe, and Columns. But my favorite was the original Streets of Rage, which I asked to play so often that my bro got sick of it. So, in order to pacify me, my mom agreed to play it with me when he wouldn't.

She likes to remind me that one time we played through the entire game and she was the one who beat Mr. X at the end, which made me quite upset, so we had to do the whole thing over again. She also briefly tried playing Golden Axe with me but always found the game to be too hard.

Extremely rarely. She despises video games, says adults that play games make her sick. It wasn't until my special needs cousin moved in with us that she changed her mind slightly. She did play with him very rarely, and by extension me as well in games like Mario kart, which she actually enjoyed. Otherwise just the mention of her playing anything gets a hateful scoff as if it's beneath her. Instead she spends the night absorbed into Facebook drama.
