It really sets the mood for this map and for the entire game.

One side of the map is a beautiful, peaceful bit of farm land and a small city. Then as you crest a hill it turns into a ruined village and crumbled church. Go up one more level and its a barren stretch of craters and death for miles. Like hell on earth.
