Over 90 fucking minutes good god Mike must've consumed about 60 whiskey bottles in the entire video's recording!

Let the Kurtzman flaming begin!

No thanks. 90 minutes of whining, nitpicking and pointless attacks. Sounds fun, like a hammer to my skull.

I know, right! I'm so sick of Mr. Plinkett being critical of bad things in a funny way, I prefer the good old Mr. Plinkett videos like the Star Wars Prequel reviews, where he was critical of bad things in a funny way, not this modern garbage Plinkett who is critical of bad things in a funny way.

Watched it. It was funny at times, and mostly spot on. But the RedLetterMedia crew really needs to accept it already that the old Star Trek is gone.

Star Trek: Discovery is not about discovery; its about war. Emotions & drama & crying & action scenes that are a cgi mess. F*** every godamn episode someone (usually the main character) is crying &/or talking about their feelings.

Star Trek: Picard is about a girl. They lied when they said it was going to be a slower show and a psychological character study about Picard. Its not even actually Picard, its a version of him created by writers who only saw the TNG films and tasked an intern to watch the show and tell them about it.

No more one & done episodes. Now its season long arcs with mystery boxes leading to more mystery boxes which then leave plotholes & unanswered questions.

Rich Evans is the key to all this.

This post depresses the fuck out of me. I've been used to Star Wars being uneven and crap at times throughout the prequels and especially sequels, but with Star Trek, all it was for the most part was loathing Insurrection, some of Nemesis, bits of Voyager, and Enterprise all in a periodic 20 year span so it never felt like fail after fail so quickly. Picard's now officially strike 3 and it sucks they got PStew and Frakes back in this essentially for reunion purposes.

Also Trekkies say the Orville is a better representation of Trek than the Kurtzman shows but honestly I found it very meh if you don't have low standards or you're starved for old Trek plotlines.

The saltiness and defensive anger from New Trek fans says it all frankly.

They know Picard and Discovery are shit, that's why they get so angry at the people who don't like it.

You don't act that way over something you legitimately like

Yep. I do think a lot of them can see the flaws and are choosing to ignore them.

It's tragic really, because for many people it comes from a place of life not being as good as it was when you are younger, so what you do is cling on to old things (which I relate to), but you are so desperate for old things to make you feel happy like they did when you were younger that you grade on a horrible curve where people can do no wrong, and as a result you end up empowering those who bastardize and destroy the very things you treasure.
