Poll of the Day > I had my first lucid dream this afternoon

It was a pretty strange phenomenon tbh.

I don't remember the exact events before I realized I was dreaming, but I remember staring at a white descending staircase and realized and the thought crossed my mind that I was probably in a dream.

It felt like I was going to wake up right after I realized it, but I somehow stayed in the dream. First thing I did was jump down the staircase, and once I reached ground level, I jumped again and started flying around to see what I could do.

I remember that when I was flying around, the sensation was nothing like in real life in terms of falling down. It felt super floaty like I was a Kirby or something.

The dream itself didn't last that long though because I wanted to see if I could wake up while in that state and I did. RIP

i always try to shake my leg to wake up and yep just cant do it

My lucid dreams never last long, since I start to wake up a minute or two after I realize Im dreaming.

When I realize Im dreaming I always start to move in slow motion and I dont understand why. I try so hard to move faster but by the time I realize that, Im slowly waking up and slowly moving my muscles in real life. Its so frustrating and upsetting. I never get to enjoy my dreams

I can't ever lucid dream exactly.

I have, however, suddenly altered the entire course/put in a safety net of sorts when stuff has gotten really dicey. I've had special knowledge/inside info in dreams. But never have I consciously had control of my dreams unfortunately.

I get them pretty often. I usually do stuff like fly and use magic and stuff. I mean, why not.
