I'm going into this mostly unspoiled. I only know the famous spoiler as far as I'm aware of.

I have heard that Yuffie and Vincent are optional party members. Is it possible to miss them? If so, is it at least obvious to find them or do you have to go out of your way to find them? I didn't really want to research into it just incase I came across spoilers.

It is possible to miss them initially, sure, but not "one time only otherwise missed". You can get them whenever after the initial potential recruitment points (though you'll miss some scenes and fun moments if you get them later on I guess but nothing earth-shattering)

Okay, that's good to know. I was a little worried that there would be a brief window of opportunity to find them in one area, but if I left the area they were gone for good or something like that.

I won't promise an entertaining playthrough topic but I can try to update. Currently Sector 7 has been nuked (that scene was crazy, I'm glad I didn't know about that beforehand). Aeris is an Ancient apparently, makes sense why people have been after her. I climbed the wreckage above Wall Street and have arrived at the headquarters.

Also, I was aware that there was a crossdressing scene but didn't know any actual details. I was surprised it happened so soon and it certainly was an interesting quest.
