If you have a plan for it, it's a good investment.

I've seen dealerships a few months ago bring in interesting stuff. Like a stupid-low mileage Tercel. It's like, ok it's just a Tercel, but it's also something that was preserved, and has proven itself in the test of time through examples put through their paces.

So I thought of stuff like that, but I feel like I also would be pressured to do it justice, and in reality I'm after a beater to park on the street at that budget. It's not going to appreciate in value, but I imagine it falling into general enthusiast's hands that will want to keep a piece of the past running as a nice example.

Because at some point, you just won't be able to find it, especially in comparable condition. A supply/demand construct.

Not to swerve this topic, but same goes for sneakers. Like some plain ass model that retailed for ~$100, and sat through 50% discounts for a couple years, will eventually command a premium asking price in the future regardless of it's true worth. Seller knows that whoever is looking for that shoe bottom line can't find it anywhere else at this point.

Parts are not difficult to find with this model

if you want it, go for it. It looks nice, and the mileage is ridiculous. I drive 30k miles in like 5 years. But, it seems to be an auction, so who knows where the final price might end up. you might get priced out anyway.
