In a nutshell: all the new symptoms seem to point to the novel coronavirus affecting mainly blood vessels and not just the respiratory system. It might explain why younger people become susceptible to strokes, clots, etc. while infected. It also means that antivirals may not be the best treatment available.

They've been hit hard becuase of obesity, which coincidentally leads to blood/heart issues along with a wealth of other health related problems.
