I just put the ones that immediately came to mind for the poll but of course you may state your own personal ear-hell type noises as well!

FYI as I was typing this rubbish a dog was barking, the same dog that was barking for nearly an hour at around 1am the other fucking week >_< which may or may not be the inspiration for this topic, you're welcome!

The stereo of the kid who lives in the apartment above me. Seriously he'll have it full blast whenever his mom isn't home. Even if that is 7am on Sunday morning.

the main offenders: dripping faucet (big one). the dog, neighbor who likes to drive at 3am.

dog used to go out at 3am. i see a reward out of it once she finishes so i can go back to bed.

I've never heard a car alarm and thought it was being stolen. It's always a squirrel or some shit.

My cat meowing when she notices I've stopped playing with my phone and closed my eyes to get some sleep. I'll play on my phone for an hour or two, she won't bother me at all. As soon as I put my phone aside and close my eyes, she comes over and starts with the meowing. Luckily it doesn't last that long if I just ignore her, but it's annoying.

speaking of cats, although they are super cute and I'll pat any friendly cats fluffy head, they can make the most annoying noise at night with their yowling! I hate it because it wakes me up in a fright and adding to that, those scary noises foxes make when roaming around too

It use to be people talking because I had an inability to not focus on what they were talking about. I got better at ignoring people tho. Giant wind chimes is my answer.

broken car alarms. The alarm is designed to be noticed, and when they're broken like that they go off randomly so you don't even get used to it

My neighbor's subwoofer. It sounds like someone bashing an empty dumpster while setting off fireworks during a thunderstorm and it's even louder through the pillows.

I bought a wall clock that ticks because I actually like the sound.

Out of all those it would probably be traffic noise. I live on a cul de sac so don't really have to hear any but I imagine constant highway noise would drive me crazy.

This. My neighborhood is full of these pricks mowing at 7:30am on a Saturday.

Also. It seems like everyone around me has a dog/dogs. I work 3rd shift so I have to listen to dogs barking all fucking day. I finally put a window a/c in my room to drown it out.

Construction drives me nuts when I'm trying to sleep.

The worst offender is a smoke alarm that needs batteries changed.

Lately the cat scratching at the door to be let in has been grinding my gears.

Oh.. it's not an issue now since bars aren't open again yet.. but I live right next door to an Irish pub.. so yeah, drunk people in the street late at night on weekends are on my list. But keeping the windows closed really cuts off the noise.

I agree with this-- loud music blaring from cars is worse than car alarms to me, especially since it sounds so shitty. Like you can practically hear the car being vibrated apart.
