It is full of story spoilers that are so pervasive on the internet, that even on search bar auto-fills about basic characters, they spoil the deaths and changes multiple times. This is not a show you want to be spoiled on because of how impactful the story and its twists are.

Yeah don't look into the series online at all at this point.

Some of the spoilers are like ingrained into pop culture now too so you run the risk of just randomly seeing them somewhere unrelated.

Damn I wouldn't even recommend people start watching GoT these days.

S7-8 were that atrociously bad that is negated pretty much most character arcs, mistakes, progression, sacrifices etc etc.

I can't even go back watching the first seasons because I just know how shit it gets. Maybe I would season 1 - 4 and then read the books.

Also I got spoiled for browsing the wiki. Never browse the wiki. I got spoiled by the biggest event that way.

Is fantastic for first time readers/viewers because you can select which season/book you've watched/read up to and it won't spoil anything from future books. Good for getting additional lore and knowing which character is what.
