Maybe active recruitment when/if this dies down? Highly encouraging minorities to join the force

No.

The entire culture of policing needs to change.

Often times the system will deliberately put black faces they know they can influence or control in positions of power to appease the gullible masses.

It's a better visual if you're a corrupt city or police department to have a black person giving a press conference or answering interview questions.

They put a black man or woman somewhere and say "see", meanwhile the same or even worse behavior is occurring within the organization.

"All skin folk ain't kin folk."

Having a black judge certainly didn't mean shit in the Botham Jean case as far as getting justice. Some of these shootings of unarmed black people are committed partly or in whole by other black officers too.

Apparently that stupid sensitivity training stuff is the thing that's actually been shown to help.

No, not necessarily. Black cops have been involved in some of the police issues we've seen.

Maybe, but it's not really even remotely the problem.

To actually solve the problem, police unions need to lax on the protections they have built up so that way when cops kill innocent unarmed men who were in no way shape or form a threat to anyone including the officer they aren't protected. We've also reached the point in which the good cops can not remain silent towards the bad cops.

No. Plenty of non-white shit officers already, and even the good ones are powerless against the korruption around them. The system needs a komplete overhaul.

Maybe a tiny bit, but as people have already said, we need a major culture change. There are sadly plenty of minority officers that are just as horrible to their communities

A diversity in any workplace can help, but what I think would be even more helpful is a longer and more extensive training course for people applying to be a police officer. 3-6 months just isn't enough to filter out the trigger-happy Jim Bobs.
