Democrats: We need to shutdown again, numbers are on the rise.
Republicans & Trump: We dont need another shutdown, let people live their lives.

Try to see it from the point of view of undecided/independent voters in swing states. You lost your job in the shutdown & have been struggling to get by. There was only one stimulus check to help you out for a month but no more.

Its now the beginning of Fall and you have a new job but the Democrats start demanding for another shutdown which would cause you to lose your job again. Meanwhile Trump will be saying another shutdown is not necessary and to let people move on with their lives. Theres a month to the election, who do you feel like voting for?

Howd this country end up so screwed.

Polls have routinely shown that the public largely agrees with the Democrats' position this whole pandemic. If we have a second shutdown, it's going to be with strong public approval.
