So it can still happen. Articles like this are dangerous. It is still not okay to go out ignore social distancing. The best thing for everyone is to encourage people to stay home as much as possible.

probably because you're not going to be spreading it much if you're not coughing

as soon as you start coughing that's a symptom

This. It was pretty much a given once they identified inhalation of particles to be the main way it spreads, with smear contamination no longer being a main concern (though sanitation is still being advised).

It amazes me that people still listen to the CDC and WHO where they both have contradicting statements every time.

You mean science and medicine update with new research and findings instead of pretending the first assumptions were correct? The audacity!

Exactly. They've basically talked out their ass the whole time.

Like the mask stuff has been wishy washy, but how many contradicting statements do they have when you take out the ones that are merely "we have no evidence of this" (which people mistakenly run with as "this thing doesn't happen") and then they get evidence of it later?

Im thinking WHO is trying to say that its not the mysterious runaway disease that it was originally thought to be. Its quite controllable if people dont ignore the minor symptoms, namely coughing and the mild fever. But, we live in such a fast paced society that punishes you for slowing down that people work through illnesses. People work with the flu, stomach flu, colds, and infections all the time. Athletes play sick all the time as well for the same reasons. Kids go to school sick. Society is going to have to learn that its okay to pump the brakes sometimes.

The asymptomatic spreading garbage was all fear mongering

Anyone who actually believes one disease can provide a large chunk of people with zero symptoms while others get symptoms up the ass, lol

yeah, the week before I left my old job the administrator had meetings with all the departments because they found out one employee tested positive. and he was like 'if you have any symptoms like fever or diarrhea or you're sick we don't want you to come in' and I'm like yeah no shit, we're not supposed to come to work with any of those symptoms anyway but you get in trouble for calling out. and they pulled the absolutely stupid move of announcing a $400 bonus for anyone who didn't call out from the middle of March to the middle of April.

found out a couple weeks after I left that a bunch of people tested positive.
