I definitely loled when I saw it in the theater, but wonder if cancel culture will extend to playfulness with racist tropes? Like the movie tries to take the necessary precautions to show theyre not racist, but wonder if the creators would replicate something like this in todays climate.

Yeah, I guess it wouldn't be possible unless a black person was at the forefront. I saw it in theaters in a very hood area, and the whole theater was dying.

But stuff like this does still show up in stuff like Atlanta. But that's because that's from Donald Glover, so he can definitely play on stereotypes.

I watched this with my family (that cock meat part was so uncomfortable). The dude has racist encounters with other groups and gets looked at as a moron even by his colleagues. I wouldn't take it seriously, especially considering whose movie it is. A scene specifically like this at this time probably isn't smart though.
