It was... ok I guess. Not terrible like TLJ, but certainly not great. I just cant get over how pointless this entire trilogy was in the grand scheme of the Star Wars story. All it served to do was revive a conflict that should have ended with RotJ, all so we can see our favorite heroes die knowing that the victory they earned in the OT was completely meaningless. And did they really have to bring back Palpatine? Really? I guess they had no choice since Rian Johnson unceremoniously killed off the main villain for no reason. I felt nothing during the ending celebration because I already saw the Empire get defeated in RotJ.

Overall this trilogy just left a bad taste in my mouth.

Also gotta love how bringing back Palpatine basically ruins Anakins entire arc. Anakin was the Chosen One. It was his destiny to bring balance to the Force. To fulfill that destiny he went down a tragic path, but ultimately he destroyed the Sith and brought balance to the Force.

JJ Abrams hates the prequels. Anakin being the chosen one only exists in the prequels.
