like, dude didnt mean to worry everyone and was gone for like 5 mins. Then he comes back and all the chicks beat him up while the rest watch and we just leave him lying next to a lamppost while we go eat...poor dude

the first time i played the game i was happy whenever bad shit happened to ryuji because that whole thing with him and morgana was written so atrociously and he learned nothing from it

from what i read they added him actually apologizing in royale though

they're both assholes to each other, but in a way that people like to poke and prod each other instead of actively being malicious. when you go to far and actually hurt a friends feelings though its a pretty good idea to talk with them about it. instead ryuji spends the next hour complaining about morgana, calling him stupid, making the situation worse, and in general dragging out a really unenjoyable part of the game by being a dumb shithead. and then when its finally over and morgana owes up to overreacting and apologizes, ryuji just insults him again and they argue like none of that ever happened

it isn't about who was wrong or right, it was about that whole part being prolonged and annoying and then ryuji ending it with what basically amounted to flipping you off for even trying to care instead of developing his dynamic with morgana at all. that made me immediately begin to associate the character with being a waste of my time

No. Morgana is an asshole to Ryuji. Its utterly one sided. From the very start, hes calling him useless and clueless. Morgana is smug and condescending because he had a niche. When he finally gets competition, he starts getting insecure. And he throw shit, but cannot take it. The worst kind of friend. Thats why hes the one that has to humbled from the side plot.

But for some reason, players also drag Ryuji into it as if he did something terrible. I just hate that. Ryuji doesnt just let people shit on him. The horror.

I do recall him messing up in Momentos, but I cannot recall exactly what happened. But it may have been more cringe then I remember. To be fair.
