Ok, so Avatar is a great show. I forgot how much of it is dumb baby kid stuff, but that's alright. The choreography was always so great and most of the comedy landed. Forgot how much I hate Azula. Forgot how terribly unfitting Ozai's voice is too, he sounds like Skips. Forgot how fucking awful a job baldwin did as Iroh

Book 2 remains one of the best seasons of a cartoon, ever.

I'm gonna watch Korra next. Here's what I remember:

• season 1 mostly good, aside from dumbass plastic surgery mob boss and amon's reveal
• i remember seasons 2 and 4 are unwatchably bad
• i remember zaheer is an airbender and learns how to fly
• i remember season 3 is amazing

I don't remember anything about Korra herself, or her friends. I don't remember most story beats either.

Does anyone know if Korra is streaming anywhere?

I may return to Korra but just for S3. S2 was so bad it turned me off of the series to this day.

I could never find Korra streaming anywhere outside of less-than-ethical means.

2 is much closer to "unwatchable" than 4 is IMO.

Season 3 is by far the best. 1 is great too.

Oh yeah, upon rewatch I actually started to like Toph for the most part. Zuko too. Previously didn't care for them. Zuko might be my favorite team member now. Was so sick to see him rise up to eventually being able to go toe to toe with Azula, even before their sozin's comet duel

amon was a great villain, and then he wasnt. those are the only good villains in avatar imo

Tbh I really liked azula as a villain, along with Amon and what he represented. Too bad the equalists really didn't get as much time as they should've in later Korra seasons

God I still hate Zuko. Dave Filoni came out recently and said there was a fourth book he had planned where Zuko would forgive Azula and finally come together as a family. It was supposed to show that he had learned from Uncle Iroh finally. A dual redemption arc.

I used to hate Zuko too but for some reason that changed. I thought it was great seeing him grow as a fighter and as a person. His betrayal in book 2 and subsequent attempt to kill Aang is almost irredeemable, and he knows how hated he is but he still ends up doing the right thing and spends the rest of his life trying to make up for the shit the fire nation (and he himself) pulled, kinda cool

I'm glad they didn't do a book 4. I thought book 3 was a bit sloppy. The show had 2 good seasons and one excellent one, I feel like they'd have jinxed themselves by doing more. Plus, I don't think Azula deserves redemption. I prefer most bad guys to stay bad

And you can stream it on Amazon Prime, you just have to pay for a Nickleodeon package.
