A vaccine is like a Bethesda game. There will be issues, you can't find them all out before releasing the game and millions of people play it, then those rare few will hit into these random, unforseen bugs. You can't have millions of people test the game before it's release, because then when it releases, no one will buy it because they played it already. Someone would pirate it, more people could download it.

So you have people that are going to buy it day one to begin with, because they just can't wait, and will potentially be among the small percentage that encounter problems with the game. They will be the first ones who run to the internet to complain about how there's a problem and Bethesda sucks, their games are broken, they released unfinished garbage.

Then there's the group of people who will be patient, sit back and wait until it's properly patched after the inevitable problems begin to emerge, who don't want to risk losing progress, or have a part of the game bugged which ruins the experience. They rather sit back and observe for a while and then when a lot of the kinks are worked out, and then buy the game, when it's a bit cheaper, and functions better, after everyone else gave it a trial run.

Finally, there are the morons who won't play it at all because of past history, a couple of botched launches, and will forever hate Bethesda due to unrealistic expectations that everything should be perfect day one, and when it isn't, they rest their fists on their hips, throw their heads back and laugh. These are the "Bethesda Anti-Vaccers" who believe tracking devices will be injected into their blood and it's all a giant conspiracy from an evil company. These are the people who open all threads about Bethesda just to remind you how much they hate them.

So with that said, I think we already have a general understanding of who is getting it first, who is waiting, and who is not at all. So CLEARLY @Choco I know exactly what i'm talking about.

i'm saying that creating and testing vaccines is probably a very complicated process and i'd be lying if i pretended to know what all goes into making sure it's safe.
so you can be like "well, i'll wait a little" just to make sure but like. that's based on layman's assumptions. you don't know how much [whatever timeframe you wait] actually matters and you don't know how it compares to the fact that you won't be vaccinated for [timeframe] longer than if you just got vaccinated immediately. it just sounds good.
