I get this, but being the best at a video game is not as impressive as being the best at a physical sport. Maybe that's just me though. I agree, but I also as an NFL fan can't just turn on the TV at any time and see my team playing. If I could, would I spend more of my free time watching football? Yeah! There are balancing factors. Even though I'm more likely to become the best at X video game than be the best QB at this point in my life (or really any point), both of those odds and time commitments are extensive enough that it's not realistic. I used to really love Starcraft but I was never good at it. It was much more fun to watch better people face off against each other than get steamrolled by any semi-decent player, because at some level I liked the strategy of Starcraft more than actually implementing it. --- ...
