...finally playing Persona 4. Avoided this series for the longest time thinking I'd hate the life sim stuff, but P5 hype got me when it launched and I loved it. Picked this up tonight to celebrate finishing up my first MBA course.

Persona 4 is the worst persona game in the series.

-annoying characters that rely WAY too much on the main character/crappy social links

P4 is a very hot debate on here for some reason. I see people love it and people that hate it. There is, like, no middle ground. I think most people think P3 is the best

What I want to know is how good P5 is and which version I should get. The basic game is $20, but what do the other give me?

Persona 5 Royal adds a bunch of quality of life changes, two (I think) new characters and a new Palace at the end

If you don't have Persona 5 yet you should definitely get the Royal version

I honestly can't recall any instance where I've seen P4 or P4G be hotly debated here. Its almost always talk about how its the best and that, while P5 was great, it wasn't as a good.

Just get the Royal Edition. I won't because I don't want to spend another 120 hours on P5 >.>, but I will say I loved every second I spent with it when I got it with my PS4 shortly after it launched.
