Happened to me a few days ago. One of my high school crushes too, saw her again after 15 years or something like that.

She's all fat and ugly now though, so I didn't pay her much attention after the fact.

We'd exchange glances, one would say something confirming it's them, then we'd skip straight to the heavy metal remix of the regular boss theme as we begin to battle. After the first health bar for one of us, the lyrics kick in and the arena will be set ablaze and things like statues will begin to break apart. Then if I defeat them, they transform into their true form and the arena then is bathed in angelic lighting and falling small meteor fragments as buildings and most smaller things begin to float up and off screen. Meanwhile the music has turned to super heavy organ music with operatic singing in Latin growing louder as my health decreases.

But if it's any other ex I guess, go on about my business unless it's one because then I'll actually say it's a pleasant surprise to run into her and that I'm looking forward to hanging out with her again after the plague isn't so... Lock down-y.

Nothing particularly salacious or interesting.

For eighteen months I dated a girl whose best friend was her former fianc. She was an abhorrent, emotionally abusive, manipulative pile of neuroses and malignant narcissism. I attempted to extricate myself from the relationship and was silly enough to agree to a Friends With Benefits arrangement. When that began to pall and I attempted to downgrade things to a purely platonic friendship, she began spinning a story about being pregnant with my child and having a miscarriage. One of my far more rational friends began poking holes in her story and when I challenged the Evil Ex on it, she admitted to making it up.

I cut off all contact and, in what I assume was an attempt to save face, told her friends and family I was severely emotionally and physically abusive.

I ran into her former fianc in a store. I didnt recognise him at first and only noticed him when I realised someone was glaring at me as if they wanted to tear my head from my shoulders. I do not think I have seen such a look of utter hate on another persons face before.
