Keep seeing posts claiming it's the government committing psychological warfare on inner cities. I'm right there on the police brutality is rampant and wrong train, but this fireworks theory just sounds insane.

I drove by people setting them off on Monday and it was just some local kids and their mom outside on the street. People are claiming authorities are driving around dropping off boxes of them. To me this all feels like astrology, people put out a message and then other people attribute it to their lives because it conveniently fits.

Yeah I mean cops are killing/seriously injuring people on camera and getting nothing more than a slap on the wrist. I don't think they have to (or even could) go all psyops on people.

isolated, separate incidents. if the police had the ability to come up with a cross country plan to piss off and disrupt communities with clandestine fireworks displays then none of those videos would have surfaced...

do i think some cops in NYC might have decided to pull a dick move and got caught on tape doing it, sure. but to take that video i referenced, and declare that all fireworks being set off at night in the summer with lots of people at home and board are being done by police working on some grand plan to disrupt your fucking sleep is lunacy.

It's way worse this year. It's probably just a bunch of bored people with access to cheap fireworks, but it's all fucking night.

I heard the fireworks thing is happening all over the country, and I highly doubt that the government could coordinate hundreds/thousands of local PDs to all pull this conspiracy off. And supply them all with fireworks on top of that.

I suspect there's just more of them floating around the (black) market this year for whatever reason, and we're in the time of year when people like to set them off.

they'll still be coming on the 4th despite no fireworks show. corona cases are going to go up soon.
moved to a more quiet part of the neighborhood but the fireworks stands are set up.
