Literally everybody reputable (which doesn't include people like Geeks & Gamers or the Quartering but also doesn't include the Schindler's List guy) is basically like "yeah this game has some questionable pacing at times but otherwise it does a good job of bringing us a new story in the world of TLOU which gives us a fresh new perspective and characters to empathize with".

It FACTUALLY improves the gunplay and general game 'feel'.

It tells a new story and provides new perspectives in a fleshed out world.

Just admit you're an angry gamer cos a factually terrible person in game wasn't deified!

I can't quite get my head around feeling embarrassed by the behavior of other people simply because I play games as well. I've seen a couple people say they were embarrassed to be a gamer because of this.

Gamers shouldn't feel embarrassed about whether they liked the game or not. Nobody has to like the plot.

Gamers should feel embarrassed for demonstrating the emotional maturity of a group of hungry toddlers in a Toys 'R' Us after mommy says "No, you can't have the robot". I've never seen such a ridiculous reaction before and we were already at an extraordinarily low bar.

I'm just so disappointed. I damn near lost my mind when TLoU2 was revealed, and it ended up turning into this. Not just the game, but the whole mess of a situation around it.

I was giving it the benefit of the doubt up until a lesbian woman who is strong on that LGBT rights tip unequivocally stated to me that she regretted buying the game.

I expected it from your usual gamerz, but not from her. So it's a wrap until further notice.

Cooled down a bit.

Even though I didn't play the game, but as I understood it, Ellie wasn't really into avenging Joel anymore after Abby whooped her ass. It was Tommy who guilt tripped her and egged her on, which explains why she let Abby live at the end.

From the streams I've watched, it made me think that the sentiment would be akin to the Red Wedding without the Purple Wedding or any other antagonist getting their comeuppance after. Just kind of a "Really? All that time and the prices paid?"

It was draining to watch, and I honestly am not that invested in TLOU. Is it bad? Not necessarily. But I thought it an unsatisfying arc.
