Accusations come with the burden of proof. To accuse is to attempt to inflict a wound of consequences on another person. In doing so, you had best be prepared to prove it.

Not every crime or injustice is easy to prove. Especially something like sexual harassment or improper conduct.

That's when you investigate. If you fire somebody based on an accusation (even multiple) you're a bad boss with no integrity.

Well, for starters, you ask the accused for their side of the story. Then you ask for proof or testimony from neutral parties/non-accusers.

Testimony from others can work as proof. The important thing is that it not be that person's friend/family/etc.

There needs to be neutral involvement, or else it's 'he said/she said' and there's no solid way to resolve the issue.

Yes, innocent until proven guilty is a legal framework, not a social framework. Taking accusations at face value is extremely dangerous and mob mentality is dangerous. But, just because there is a lack of legal evidence to prove someone guilty of something, or because they did something immoral but not illegal, does not excuse them from public criticism. This is an extremely complicated issue with no straightforward answer that has vexed humanity for as long as society has existed.

If you think everyone should be innocent until proven guilty in a social context, you can take that position.
Or an extremely lax position on accusations, like TC seems to be pushing.
Or you can agree that there is some wiggle room, but disagree with where the line should be drawn.
