If your job was to write the finale, after all this time?
I heard an interview with some of the writers (in like 2003) saying they always intended the finale to be Marge kills Homer. I would have it be a scene by scene remake of the first episode, but with all of the changes in play. Bart's NES is a Playstation 4. Mr. Smithers is white. Ned is super Christian. Apu doesn't speak because he has no voice actor. Homer is less angry and more stupid.
