As you approach you can see that the money is completely genuine.

Then you hear the voice of an ancient Irish Sage sitting nearby saying "I would think ere hard if I were you boy. Why would some fella be so eager to give such money away, eh kid? That money is ere cursed lad. You take it and yer can buy whatever you want... but you'll live a life of misery and blackness. Mark my words."

He then lights his pipe and takes a puff.
