It's also the only game I played that came from the Soviet Union.

There's the famous IL-2 Sturmovich, an indie game called Perestroika which is rather similar to a cross between NIM and Othello, as well as the ambiguous "Sea Battle" which I think almost everyone has played on their calculators since it was one of the most downloaded games for the TI-83 (But that would be post-soviet Russia)
