She didnt just voluntarily agree arbitrarily. She voluntarily agreed because legal experts specifically said that she couldnt have an official office and still be an informal advisor.

Her options were A) not be an official advisor or B) agree to the rules

Once she agreed to the rules she became an official employee, and thus is subject to the rules. Again, her pay is literally completely irrelevant, because part of becoming official was agreeing to the restrictions.

Ivanka was joining the administration regardless and had her own office.

Legal experts wanted her to join as a federal employee. Aka paid employee. (Nepotism arguments would have been made but that was cleared and not disputed with Kushner's appointment). She said due to her unprecedented situation and to alleviate concerns she would take federal employee status while remaining unpaid to alleviate ethic concern violations.

The amount of arguing against the supreme court going on here and misreading going on to try and support extraneous arguments is silly.

Ivanka is a federal employee by her special arrangements and voluntary agreement. She is bound by ethics via her own choice. Thus, she violated ethics codes due to that (I am unsure how the public office would have worked if she didn't have this agreement. Because technically she would have not been an employee of the federal government and also the idea of public office is nebulously defined). However, that is moot by her agreement.

Without such an agreement, the supreme court laws clearly state she would not be considered an employee if it is an unpaid position and did not have clear considerations or retribution down the line to be expected).

It is clear as day. Why are you even arguing this extraneous stuff?

I literally already said I was wrong when he posted the article where Ivanka agreed to take an employee status to satisfy people who had concerns about her being not bound to ethics. That was already agreed upon literally the post after the article was posted because it completely makes the argument in which I am right about (the laws on what makes an employee and being paid or not) extraneous, since she has agreed to be bound as a federal employee.

Like, the argument regarding her being a federal employee was totally done there.

Then sheen had to act weird and act like him being accidentally right for the wrong reasons made his whole argument right (which it didn't. The facts remain the same).

Then had to make some weird ignoring posts. Don't get those.

Looks like those started diverging around 1960. I remember there was a Thomas Piketty book a few years ago that explored this topic. He basically said returns to labor were at an all-time high compared to returns to capital in that 40 year or so period following the New Deal. And since then we've reverted to the historical levels of greater returns to capital. In 2020, if we haven't hit all time highs for returns to capital versus returns to labor, we are close.

There's a confluence of factors driving this:

1. Globalization - labor is cheaper because it's easier to do manufacturing in a poor country with low wages.
2. Technology - the main reason productivity has increased is better tech.
3. Automation - this drives down wages while driving up the productivity of the remaining jobs for humans.
4. Government/monetary policy - witness the trillions the Fed has pumped into the financial system this year while workers got $1,200 each.

I think 1 is talked about a lot but is overstated. 2 is the biggest factor and won't change without some change to our laws on ownership of technology. 4 is also big - market crashes are supposed to be equalizing events and the Great Depression was, but neither 2008 nor 2020 are looking to be. The market recovered too quickly, before workers could save much capital to buy stocks at the lower prices. So the rich stayed rich if they had the sense not to sell at the bottom. By the time wages picked up, years after the 2008 crash, the market had already gone into the stratosphere and the bargains that existed in 2009 were long gone. And that's because our government has invested a tremendous amount of capital and effort to protect the market. And no, Biden won't change that.

Amazon didn't delist merchandise until they said they were changing their name. FedEx doesn't sell merchandise and just asked them to look into it changing the name. Nike didn't delist anything until the name change was pretty much alluded to also.

I think you are overstating the pressure companies put on them.
