Im one of those people that gets a sick form of pleasure out of being in middle of a natural disaster and it was really poignant for me as a kid because of all the hurricanes we had, right up to the four way banger of 2004.

Then we just didnt have any really other than Katrina and a glancing blow from Sandy which basically did nothing, until we finally had Matthew, Irma and Dorian in the last few years roll through.

But yeah part of me wishes I was a kid right now hunkering down with Dad waitin out the proverbial storm. It was nice.

(And mind you Im not misinterpreting missing my Dad for disaster fetishism; I feel the same way during actual hurricanes and isnt always associated with him; I like watching people panic)
