Sure, regular batteries are stupidly expensive, 500x the price of the kWh vs regular electricity.

Even if the batteries you buy are crappy, you still end up winning.

That said, I recommend the Eneloops. Their charge hold is good.

They're good for remotes. They don't last long at all for anything that takes more juice than that though (meaning you have to recharge them often).
